This is such a beautiful smelling balm. I got a sneak peek of this product at IBE Los Angeles earlier this year, and it’s still a best in show for me. I’ve never seen petigrain be a highlighted ingredient before, and it’s an intoxicating scent in the best way, plus it’s balancing benefits to skin this time of year.
I tried the exfoliant this morning and wow...my skin feels like butter. Not to mention the smell is divine. After I cleansed I applied the toner and facial oil. I am ALWAYS looking for a good facial oil/toner and am so excited about this. These products are amazing, you can feel/smell the high quality. Seriously, my skin is butter. So excited to try the mask and cleanser!
Vancouver-based soap, skin-care and candle brand Woodlot is a small "apothecary studio" that now sells its products in more than 200 stores. Its philosophy is all about being environmentally friendly, so the candle wax is a petroleum-free coconut version that's supposed to ensure a cleaner burn. Each of the candles is understated in both its appearance and aroma — exactly the kind you'd want to light before a chill at-home yoga or meditation session.
I love how effective, clean, and simple their products are and the multi-use function of many products really takes it to another level. I especially enjoy that any of their products are unisex so that it is perfect for any friend, significant other, or home no matter if you live with your significant other or family. Lastly, it's clear that their message really translates in their products and I respect that they use clean, traditional methods to prepare their products but understand that their customers are the next generation and truly give us a product that is clean and chic without compromising function.
I associate all things fancy — like this soap made with white clay, Himalayan pink salt, palmarosa and rose damask, and black pepper essential oil — with Mariah Carey. It's a soap truly fitting for a diva! The Amour soap smells incredible, literally like roses, and it feels so therapeutic in the shower. You just feel like everything is gonna be okay while you're getting your scrub on. Overall: it smells good, it's exfoliating, has real rose petals in it, and automatically upgrades your bathroom.
Woodlot’s Original Candle has found a home on my bathroom vanity. Its subtle blend of eucalyptus, sandalwood and sweet orange provides just enough invigorating “ahhhhh” without over-energizing a calming bath. Lighting this candle while running a tub full of hot water sets a mood — me time — that has me feeling grounded and serene. Woodlot’s soaps are delicately fragrant, moisturizing and a delight to unbox. The packaging is chic, display-worthy and unisex. It’s the ultimate simple indulgence.
